Solo Exhibit

Corinne Baptiste's work is currently on view at The Art Alcove in Freeport, NY, part of the LIAC's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The exhibition runs through October 31st, with an opening reception on October 2nd, 6:30–8:00 PM. The Art Alcove is located in the front lobby of the Freeport Recreation Center, 130 E. Merrick Road, Freeport, NY. All are welcome to attend.

Corinne Baptiste is a painter working primarily in oil, watercolor, and colored pencil studies. She paints the people and moments closest to her—family, quiet scenes, the faces she knows best—with an eye for composition sharpened by years as a graphic designer.

Painting and drawing were her first creative passions, long before she entered the world of publishing, marketing campaigns, photo shoots, and art direction. After becoming a mother of two, she began freelancing to make more room for family. In that slower season, she returned to painting. It came back like muscle memory and helped her rediscover a sense of self.

Corinne recently received an Award of Excellence for her painting "Joy" and an Award of Merit for her painting "Neighborhood Watch" at The Village Art Club 2026 Summer Exhibition.

This is her first solo show.
